TCMG505: Global Program & Project Management
This course is a practitioner’s course in Project Management (PM). It stresses the concepts of Project Life Cycle (PLC), executive sponsorship, PM leadership styles, effective PM team building, risk assessment and mitigation, managing client/customer expectation, management and project team, vendor management (outsourcing – domestic and international), contingency planning, program/project metrics and governance. The teaching approach consists of lectures, case studies, team projects, class readings, a review of current events relating to PM, an individual research paper, a team research project, using Microsoft Project 2007.
