EDIT 605: Instructional Systems Design (ISD)
Examines strategies, trends, issues and research findings related to the design and development of standards-based instructional systems and programs. Focuses on both behavioral and cognitive strategies for instructional design including the theory and research background related to each approach. Requires development of an instructional program or unit for a teaching or training application. Students will apply these strategies in assessment of needs, analysis, and design of an instructional product, along with the methods by which the product will be evaluated (ADDIE). In addition, the course also examines trends and issues in the field of instructional design and learning technology.
